Hi,
I had a number port go wrong this weekend and I initiated it again today and it seems to have worked, received confirmation from Rogers they received it. Also confirmed my Rogers SIM was no longer active if I turned it on.
However, my eSIM still shows my old number even though I can receive texts from the ported number.
My 2FA texts for PM also go to my old number for some reason and have to use email to get 2FA code to login.
Any outgoing texts get sent via my old number that I had before the port.
Can someone help?

hi @Triplehelix but I think uninstall and reinstall would do
some people said it is easier to just clear cache and clear data with force close
but either way, happy that you got it sorted out

Thanks. I was able to figure it out but it wasn't simple.
Had to disable RCS chat in messages settings.
- enable the debug menu by typing * xzyzz * without the spaces in messages search and hitting enter.
- force close messages app and re-launch it.
In menu, go in debug -> RCS -> Invalidate all RCS configurations
Force close messages and reopen
Re-enable RCS chats in settings and it registered properly.

hi @Triplehelix
try uninstall Google Message , reboot and reinstall
if that still fails, another way is to get a replacement a eSIM. Just go to PM app and buy a new one from Account page. The replacement esim is supposed to be free. If the system charges you, pay first and ask for reimbursement after

I deleted all other eSIMs and removed my physical Rogers SIM. My PM one is an eSIM.
Looks like an issue with RCS chats. If I turn it off and back on, it shows my new number a sit's setting up but when it switches to connecting, it swaps it to my old number.

hi @Triplehelix did you remove the old sim card or disable the old one if eSIM?
and if the PM sim is physical, test it on another phone

Hi, tried that, and still being received by my work phone as the old number. Calls come in as the correct number however.

hi @Triplehelix
first, try Reboot phone and then Reset Network Settings , then check again
if it does not work and if you are using iPhone, go to iMessage settings, remove the phone number, then reboot phone and put the number back after to re-register iMessage (please note that the reregistration could take long, please wait)
