Hi,
I have a talk and data plan, and I am traveling to Dubai very soon. I have a dual-sim compatible device and I plan on adding an eSim with a carrier in the UAE (data).
That being said, can I receive international calls from anywhere while I am in Dubai on my Public Mobile number?
Thank you!

@zaid-rn if you would like to receive calls to your pm number while away you can set up call forwarding to a VoIP number trxtnow or fongo. This needs to be done in Canada.
If you want to receive sms your pm sim needs to be in an an active phone plugged in and turned on .you can install an app to forward your sms to email
This is a similar situation:

Since you already plan on adding an eSim with a carrier in the UAE (data), you may as well add calls options since Public Mobile has no coverage outside Canada and US.
Depending on how long you plan to stay, suspending your PM account for 90 days or less will save you some money and help pay for your local calling plans. If it's just a short stay, maybe a free voip app is enough.

Public Mobile only provides service options while you are in North America.
Depending on how long you plan to be away and whether or not you want to keep your Public Mobile note:
After 90 days of suspended/non-payment status, your account will be permanently deactivated, which means you will:
1-Lose access to your phone number (and Self Serve account), any rewards or Available Funds balance that was in your account at time of suspension, and won’t be able to transfer the phone number to a new provider in the future.
2-Need a new Public Mobile SIM card if you decide to activate a new Public Mobile account.

If you let your plan go into suspended status ensure to make a payment a few days before the 90 days are up, to keep your number.
You could also change (if not already) to the lowest cost plan ($15) when you do renew, and to save $'s, while away.
Safe travels.

@zaid-rn , Sorry no. You can only receive text when you are in Canada and US.
for PM , there is also no roaming other than in the US so there is no way to receive text elsewhere.
You might want to consider getting a free VoIP app like TextNow ahead of time. You can pick a Canadian number on TextNow and give to your friends. They can text you via that number. With TextNow, as long as you have Wifi or MobileData, you can receive the text
