I have been trying to reactivate my old phone number that I have had for over 40 years and had active with Public Mobile up till October or November of 2025. I have been trying to reactivate it since February 2026 have even purchased a new SIM card for it. How do I get this phone number back since Public Mobile deactivated it.

you can try asking Sasktel to see if they can assign you the number. But asking specific number from provider is very hard these days. Good Luck

It would be Sasktel that had the number originally

once your Public Mobile account was deactivated, your cell number went back to whoever was the original provider of that number. If it was Telus, you can call them to see if it's still available.

when was not last time you able to use the service? was it Nov or Feb?
try calling 1-855-4PUBLIC from another phone and enter the phone number and check if the system recognize the number. If not, the account was already closed and I am afraid you might not get the number back
And also, check if you can login My Account

So, your number was last used in November 2025? Account can only be suspended for 90 days and it will be closed and the number will be gone. I am afraid you cannot get it back. But check with PM directly
