you’ll have to wait until back in Canada. You simply won’t be able to activate until then.

if account is deactivated for over 90 days, the account would have been closed and you lost the number
if you missed the day for only couple days, PM support agent can likely able to assign you back the phone number. But you have to check with them directly

For activating a new account (so PM agent can assign you back a number after), you can still try to activate while you are in Costa Rica, as long as you have the app. But of course, it is better to ask a friend in Canada to help

I am in Costa Rica. No coverage, I do know.
I deactivated and now am trying to reactivate. It is over 90 days.
I know I need a new Sim am trying to do with e Sim, but no success.

PM doesn’t have roaming outside of Canada. Depending on the plan you have. If you have the Canada, USA and Mexico plan. It will only work in those 3 countries.
If you are not within the countries you plan covers then this is normal until you return to Canada.
What country are you at?

@Carolinacr If your account has been dormant/deactivated/un funded for 90 days or more, it is closed and your number is gone. You will need to open a new account with a new sim.

your sim is "not active", maybe cause you are not in Canada.
Important thing is account active or not. Can you tell me if you can login My Account on the browser? can you actually go into the account ?
or download Fongo app from app store, then setup Fongo so you can make calls. Once Fongo is up, call 1855-4PUBLIC and enter your number. If the system can find your number, your account is still there and you just need to pay and resume service

Need to buy an Sim as my old Sim is not active, I think.

if the account was just suspended and you need to pay to resume service, you can use My Account on the browser. Use this link to make payment

Or if you cannot also buy voucher online to pay, go to muskbird.com, they have voucher or they can help to instant top up too
