Can’t get my mom and dads iPhone data to work after I transferred them from Telus.

 

tried to change the apn setting to : sp.mb.com

 

it still doesn’t work.

please help me.

This is all I needed to do for iphone4

 

"Connect your phone to wifi then using Safari visit http://www.unlockit.co.nz and follow the instructions on the screen. You should see this picture. Click "Create APN" and install it."

This was complicated for me but I figured it out once Luddite posted this:

So I have an iphone 4 and this info immediately helped me. I have an APN app on my iphone now. This is a essentially jailbreaking I guess. The app makes your phone do something it was designed not to, which is really cool.

 

If you have a new model than iphone4, I don't think this is necessary and Luddite can help with that!

@sunvan123 sorry to hear about your trouble. 

 

If you haven't already please try:

 

- turn off the phone

- remove sim card

- reinsert SIM card

- power back up

@sunvan123 Have a look at the link below for the APN settings for iPhone. You need to change a few more things in addition to the APN.

@sunvan123 You have posted to an old thread. In future you will have more assurance of help by creating your own topic on the forum  (which I have done for you today), or sending a private message directly to the moderators.

What model does he have?

Have you tried:

a) reset network settings (reenter wifi passwords) afterwards

b) check for carrier update: Settings >> General >> About: if one is offered install it

c) delete any VPNs

d) toggle airplane mode off/on

c) confirm cellular data and roaming are ON

d) login to his account to be sure data is included in his plan.

 

Do all other services work properly?
