Re: Cellular Data Not Working After Changing SIM Card

Hello everyone, did anyone ever ending up finding a solution to this? Or do we just have to keep doing a factory reset each time without restoring the old profile? I'm experiencing the very same issue right now.

Good question....I have no idea!

If its an iPhone then @LurganIeUk or @AE_Collector can help. If its Android then maybe @Anonymous can probably weigh in. They are all old enough to possibly have had an AOL account.🤣

How do you delete the AOW profile from your device?

@Charles5  When you’re finished using your AOW Data SIM, you need to delete the AOW profile from your device before you swap back to your carrier SIM. Did you do that?

Also dial *#*#4636#*#*  and review all the system info. any reference to AOW?

@Charles5  does the PM SIM work if you remove the at&t SIM and vice versa? Also, have you tried switching the 2 slim slots.? I found this post here that describes a problem with  at&t and other  Sims not working at the same time https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/dual-sim-issues.412363/page-4

It's a dual sim phone. The other SIM slot has AT&T but it doesn't have a data plan (only calling and texting). I've already removed that and tried - no luck 😞

@Charles5  if you have accesse to another providers SIM? Turn off, insert it, and restart your phone . Then repeat the process with your PM SIM.

@Charles5 what brand and model Android phone do you have?

Yes, I've verified multiple times that the APN settings are correct.

I've performed Network Reset several times already.

But this explanation seems to make sense: "It turns out the profile for the other SIM card I was using (AOW) was still resident in the phone, even though it wasn't showing in the settings and had been deleted."

The big question is: is there a way of finding and getting rid of this corrupted entry without performing an entire factory reset?
