How does the new rewards benefit users compared to existing ?
Do users have to register for this new rewards with the same email id as registered with PM phone# ?
If a user has multiple PM phone#'s, can they link multiple PM phones#'s for the new rewards against one single email id ?

My Plan is $150
So, if 150 x 5 = $7.5
That's not quite the start
If the % was 12%
150 x 0.12 = $18
Perhaps that would have been easier to adjust to

$15 plan will get $0.75 cents
$35 plan will get $1.75 cents

@BeachNBeer , thanks for that.
I'm also trying to figure out the % Math
I do hope PM does something like this
Take the Loyalty Rewards
Take me, 90 Day cycle
Yr 1 = $3
Yr 2 = $6
Yr 3 = $9
Yr 4 = $12
Yr 5 = $15
Hoping PM might do something like that, for those on the Points, every yr % goes up, like 2% every yr, maybe after 5 or 10 Yrs, perhaps that would help breathe in new life

@makkahn28 No more auto-pay reward with new points program.
01-26-2022 02:12 PM
@VK All the details of the points program is already live. You can see it by going to main Public Mobile website. Or login to your new rewards section. They likely sent you an email as well.
Right off the bat no more $2 for auto-pay with the new points program.

Here's what I am trying to figure out
If Every Dollar, meaning $1.00 = a Point, and let's say Auto-Pay, one gets $2, what is 5%?
Is it the equivalent of $0.05¢ or $0.5¢
01-26-2022 02:10 PM
@makkahn28 5% would be 0.05
01-26-2022 02:05 PM
@0PX9O4 Yes it's definitely more noticeable since the rollout of this new format.
01-26-2022 02:05 PM
I am actually trying to get to the bottom of this, so to ask and get the correct info
Just not sure, if 5% is 0.05 or 0.5
But, also am hoping PM is trying to find the sweet spot that would not be conceived as wide-gap unfair

Somewhere not long after I refresh. I then click into the thread. I refresh again because this is getting frustrating. I click in the reply box and start typing. I'm not a terrible typist but it certainly didn't take 2 minutes. I post. There's a reply already from 10:42. I'm at 10:44. WTH.
@Anonymous Yeah I am noticing lots of delays on the Notification feed and others have as well since the upgrading. See the thread that I have created. https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Get-Support/Delay-in-Notification-feed/td-p/779028 I wonder if what you are seeing is related.

There does seem to be a lag lately, it must be something with the new update from Khoros?

@Anonymous I also sometimes see one or two replies to a new thread but no views, even after refreshing the page more than once, the thread registers no views but someone has already responded. Not sure how that's possible unless I'm missing something completely which is more than possible.

Thanks @0PX9O4 @BeachNBeer @Zyl @Anonymous..
seems like it is bit early now, will wait for sometime until we get a clear understanding on this from PM.

The rewards are in a different site, separate from "My Account" now. Registration for Rewards will be automatic once you register for "My Account" for new customers who are joining Public Mobile now. So if you are an existing customer, you are already registered for the rewards and wouldn't need to do anything and unless you choose to switch to the new points system, you are still on the existing dollar-based reward system. Email address requirement is still the same, unique email address for each Public Mobile phone number.
In terms of benefits comparison, the way I see it, everything is really the same except for the reward for Autopay. If your plan cost is $50 and above, you will earn 50 cents higher at least under the new points reward system vs. the current dollar-based reward system, otherwise you are better off under the current dollar-based system. That's the only difference that I see aside from getting access to more tangible products that Public Mobile throw in there from time to time and the contest where you can potentially win large prizes.
There is apparently an excel worksheet at the bottom of the announcement for the new points system to help you calculate how much would be your reward under the new points system vs the current dollar-based one to help you decide if you want to switch. Please note that 1) switching to the new points system is NOT obligatory for existing customers of Public Mobile and 2) once you do switch, it's permanent and you won't be able to go back to the current dollar-based reward system.
Hope this helps.

@VK No one number per account.
As an existing customer you have two options.
1- Stay on current rewards program that you actually get money towards your bill.
2- Switch to the new points program and you won't get your old rewards anymore.
It's one or the other. If you switch you can't come back.
Log into your account then where your rewards normally display click my rewards. It will bring you to another page where you have to sign in again. It will show your current rewards. This area will also give you the option to join the points program.
It's really not better and you'll likely end up spending more real money if you switch to the new points. That is your call though.

Some are saying that plans less than $40 will lose out. The new rewards system (not just the new rewards points system) is linked in the self-serve account. You then log in to the new system using your self-serve credentials. This does not turn anything on. It's an opt-in method. If you don't want it then don't opt in.
No linking.

I would recommend you stay on the old rewards program.
The new rewards points are account-specific, just like the old one. So you can have each account either stay on the old plan or switch to the new one.
