1. Will the 5G plan work on my S10? I understand I won't get 5G speeds but will it default to 4G?
2. Can I port my number a few days after activating? Is there a fee for this?
3. Is it true if I use a referral code upon activation I will receive a $10 credit?
Thanks!

Receiving Public Mobile's 5G plan speeds doesn't necessitate a connection to the 5G network. Your Galaxy S10 can achieve speeds faster than 100Mbps on LTE. While it's possible to reach the full 250Mbps on LTE, it's not guaranteed due to varying network conditions. Accessing the 5G network increases the likelihood of attaining the full 250Mbps due to improved network capacity and coverage factors

@tokum , to add to what others have said here, porting your phone number over a few days after activation is a great idea, that way your service here would be up & running by then. Porting over during activation doesn’t always go smoothly so that’s a great idea to wait. 🙂 Just make sure the account is still active with the provider your porting your phone number from & put their SIM Card in your phone to authorize the port request text from them by responding YES within 90 minutes of receiving it for it to be successful. 🙂 Once you receive confirmation that the number is ported over you can turn off your phone, remove that SIM Card from your phone, put your Public Mobile SIM Card in the phone. Once you turn your phone back on you may need to reset your network settings & reboot your phone.
Edit: Either way you can come back here any time you want some help. 🙂

There is no requirement for a connection to the 5G network to receive Public Mobile's 5G plan speeds. Your Galaxy S10 is actually capable of much faster than 100Mbps on the LTE network. As to whether you'll receive the full 250Mbps using the LTE network is still posbile, but not guranteed as it depends on network conditions. Have access to the 5G network only means that the full 250Mbps speeds are more likely because of increased network capacity and other network coverage factors.
