My suggestion was to just don't answer the call if you don't recognize the callers number. Blocking an entire area code or province isn't possible...or advisable.

if you don't recognize the calling number...don't answer the call. If it's a legit call, they can leave you a voice message and you can call 'em back if you want. After a week or so, those spam calls should diminish.   Once the bad guys know you'll answer any call, they'll keep hounding you.

The numbers are spoofed to hide their true number. Try using the Truecaller app to minimize spam calls.

unfortunately, everyone suffers from spam calls, too.  This is an issue for all carriers

PM does not have features like Call Screening.  So, you will have to  use device feature, like those Ring only if numbers on your contacts and send those others to Voicemail
