Go for it.....come up with something original with your own flair, code and link and keep it updated and see how much traffic is driven to pm which would be mutually beneficial for both you and pm.

@darlicious I'll certainly think about it.  Thanks

@computergeek541

I agree 100% but after bringing it to pm's attention or at least the oracle team on a few occasions with no apparent interest on pm's part to address those infringements I no longer worry about it.

@darlicious I'm not saying that it's right for someone to do that.  I have no issue with someone creating a website to try to get referrals, but using original Public Mobile artwork to make the website appear official and showing an incorrect new customer credit amount are issues.

@computergeek541

Public mobile didnt seem to care about this site and the third party advertising of the competition.

You've piqued my curiosity why don't you send me a link to your blog via private messaging?

What?! Why not? 🙂

You can put your referral code up. You can extol the virtues. You can tell about the occasional freebies.

It's just promos and such that would need maintenance due to becoming stale-dated. So don't.

@Anonymous Let me think about it.  I just got excited about promoting PM. lol  I am retired and it is something for me to do.  Thank you.

This discussion reminds me of the 90s webpages, with guest counters, guestbooks, "webrings", and those permanent "under construction" images. 😄

I've seen people put referral PM links in their public FB description or e-mail signature. I don't see why PM would mind this type of link. They are allowing / encouraging referrals because it's beneficial to them. It's free publicity, without any efforts on their hands. A win/win situation.

@maggamoka lol I had a couple of those "under construction" websites.  They were just too time consuming to finish.  And the finished ones were too expensive to maintain.

The more I think of it, it might not be a good idea to spread the good word about PM.

Thank you for your response.

As long as you don't try to make unrealistic claims you are good to go. Nobody will mind good advertisement or recommendation

If you do refer to a promotion I would suggest you updated the info once it's gone. I've seen many sites referring to 25 signup credit that is gone for almost two years now. People don't use their friends' referrals but the advertised ones expecting $25 and second month free, then they feel duped and get upset, not pretty for either the new customer nor public mobile.

@totalUser thank you for your response.  Yes, that would be a problem if PM changed the signup credits.  I will certainly keep that in mind.

Do they have permission to use the logo?  Even if they don't, it's possible that Public Mobile is simply looking the other way because the site does bring them business.

Exactly. That sites a bit excessive but the company doesn't seem to care. We don't know what the OP intends yet but if it's what I suspect then no one would care.

@Anonymous I have several blog sites (just random personal sites) and I also do vlogs on YouTube and I intend to spread the good news about PM.

I would be careful about using any official produced logo or Public Mobile design. There are copyright laws involved. Now, of course, if you get written permision, that's an entirely different story.

If you're attempting to do trade under cover of a company you're copying then sure.

If you're just some random personal site who happens to be enthusiastic about spreading the word of Public Mobile, I hardly think the company would care. Free advertising and all. As long as you're not passing off the work as yours.

@Anonymous I am just a random personal site and I also have vlogs on YouTube.  Just asking if there was a PM banner to insert on my random personal site.  lol no biggie nobody really reads my blogs.  But a PM banner would look legit, don't you think?  Thank you very much for your response.

@NDesai thank you for your response.  Although I am not interested in being a retailer, thank you for the link

Just copy the big logo off the home page and put it in your site and link to here with it.

I don't think they provide an advertising banner for public use. You can try making your own or try contacting them: https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/become-a-retailer
