Hi, BC here.
I have the unlimited province talk, global text, and 18GB data. Just wondering, what happens when I dial to a number outside the province, do I get charged long distance, or it won't even let me dial out of province since my plan is only unlimited province talk?
I was actually calling my bank at their 1800 number, and I was on hold for almost half an hour. I don't want to get charged for long distance for dialing that number.
Thanks.

You should be fine with calling any toll free numbers, they are exempted from province wide only calling

If you call to a regular number out of province and you do not have a long-distance add-on, the call will not go through.

Public Mobile is totally prepaid. There are no extra charges. You can buy an add-on for calling outside your province if you need to. If you have'nt purchased the service the call would not go through. All 1-800 numbers are toll-free so there is no charge for that either.

As a prepaid provider you can’t call long distance without adding a LD add on. So no worries about overages or long distance charges.
