I bought 2 $25 prepaid cards from 7-11 and botth code will not enter when I try to top up

They have for more than a year.

I just found that the one on my way to work is staffed by people who either don't know or don't care how to activate them. The guys at my cornerstore can at least be talked through it, at 7-11 I was standing at the check-out with the fancy Public Mobile rack card and was told outright no on three occasions. That's it, I know whom I giving my business to.

As mentioned above, sometimes it takes some time for voucher to activate.  

If you tried your self service account, maybe try dialing 611 from your phone to see whether you can enter your voucher via your phone.  Or vice versa.

@UncleTed This has been the issue for a few. You might have to wait a day or two to redeem the voucher.
