Potential new customer curious about PM reception in basements - Niagara Region

Hello, I just wanted to ask how is the PM reception in basements (for anyone that works or lives in one). I live in Welland, ON and I have an Aunt that lives across town. She's with PM and has no signal issues, but then she lives in a regular house, where as I have a basement apartment. I checked the coverage map and looks like my area of Welland gets full coverage

I know PM uses Telus towers, so I would figure it should be ok. I just wanted to ask before I jump in with PM. Thank you in advance

If you use an iphone you could try this experiment: before you change to PM dial *3001#12345#* and take note of the "RSRP" value.  Do it again after changing to publicmobile and compare the two.  the value in db is your signal strength, -120db is the worst possible signal.  -100 is better, -50 is better still.  In my town in eastern ontario at my house I'm always -100 or -110.
This is why our batteries don't last as long.

@tjemartin1   I suggest that if your thinking of switching, that you port over to the cheapest plan possible as you give public a test. This way, during the first 30 day cycle, if you aren’t satisfied and decide to leave you are only out a small amount of $, and if you stay, you can upgrade to the preferred plan at that point.  Hope this helps

I'm not in the same area, but in between Sarnia and London Ontario. I haven't noticed any reception issues when in our basement, my signal is usually pretty good. The only signal problems I ever have are on one specific road, which is a pretty well known "dead zone" in my area regardless of phone company.
