@1943 - if you ported, for example, your Bell landline over to Public Mobile in error, then you can contact Bell to reject the port to Public Mobile.
But, then you would need to request a new number be assigned to your Public Mobile account you created, OR ask Public Mobile Customer Support Agents (CSA) to help you port over the correct number by sumbitting a ticket with them.
Two ways to reach CSA, found here: https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/ns/get-help/articles/contact-an-agent

Either way you will have to reinitiate the porting process with the correct number so will need old sim and the old account to still be in good standing.
also if the wrong number worked you will have to get that sorted out as well

If you tried to port incorrect number, that person will receive porting request and most likely will reject it.
To re-initiate porting contact agent and give them correct number. Leave old SIM in your phone, reply Yes within 90 minutes and you should be good to go.

Did you use the incorrect SIM number or phone number?
Requires more details of what you done with the porting and what error notice did you get?
You will need to keep the old SIM in the phone so if you entered the wrong number. The text to that number need to confirm the porting. If not confirmed, the porting will not be completed.
Unfortunately, the owner of the number may be confused and I hope they didn’t confirmed.
