Too late tonight but you can call the Telus Porting department phone number and re-request the port. Make sure your friend has their old account # to give them

To re-initiate the port, click here: Reinitiate Port request
Then make sure to place their prior provider SIM card in device, await text for port authorization, reply "YES", then replace with newly activated Public Mobile SIM card.
Reboot their device, and they should be good to go.
