Hello,
I want to port my PM number to a new provider for a new plan. But I want to keep my current PM account and get a new number for it.
is this possible?
From what I’m reading it looks like once your port your number to another provider from PM, the account closes.
thanks

Talk to the new provider....maybe you can get a new number that is close to your pm phone number with a different area code or exchange.

@Ccomeau0409 there is really no workaround with that. This is one of the most asked question here. I guess the rewards really working as PM designed, to keep us here. 🙂

which new provider carrier you going !
and Make sure that you have the old sim card in your phone when you're porting your phone. You should get a message from your old carrier asking to confirm if you would like to port your number. Your reply should be: YES.
The confirmation message can take a few minutes to come in. You have 90 minutes from the time of request.

That’s what I thought. I don’t want to Lose this account because it has loyalty and referral rewards.

Sorry, this couldn't be done. Once you ported over, your account will be closed
If you decided to change your number, then your old number will be gone.
There is really no way to get this done.

Unfortunately, that's not really possible, and what you read is correct. When you port your number out, the provider "pulls" your number away and your Public Mobile account automatically closes/cancels. You could try and ask staff if they can keep your account open after a port, but is unlikely they will process that for you.

No you can't do that
you have to getting a New SIM card for public mobile to start New Activate for it,
