Is that going to be difficult to do and use a referral code at the same time? Or should my friend just sign up for a new subscription while porting their phone number from Virgin to Public to make things easier?

@andy889 That’s for when you see a promo code on the site . Their currently aren’t any promos codes , but sometimes you will see enter promo code on activation to get x amount of extra data for first 12 months with certain plans
adding @andy889 but in this case your just concerned with referral code as you can see on bottom of the web receipt before payment after you add the referral code you will need to close that screen with the x and check the web receipt again for the code to show with check mark ✅

What is with the "Promo code", she will be switching from Virgin to the $23 Public plan.

@andy889 You can do it during activation or after activation . I prefer to do it during the activation so I don’t have to later update the ever safeID having issues logging in for first time but that’s personal preference as for your referral code your friend get to input it right before they make payment using the app to activate

@andy889 , it should not be a problem with using a referral and porting the number in during activation. Just make sure the old SIM is running on the phone so that the port request is confirmed on the Virgin end.
