So I was one of the peple who ported from Koodo to PM. The form says to pick a new number then call to get my number ported because I was with Koodo originally.
The minute I hit submit on the form, my koodo sim stopped working and I received an email from koodo saying they are sorry to see me go.
The problem I have now is, the koodo number that I wanted to port is still not active after 3 days.
I messaged the mods about this and after 3 business days, the mod confirmed that the port is completed and that it should take up to 2.5 hours for it to take effect and it's been 3 days now.
Am I misunderstanding the meaning of a "port"? I logged into my PM account and it still shows my PM number instead of my Koodo number.
The long wait for the mods to reply and the short answers that they are giving is not really explaning stuff properly to me. Can someone enlighten me on what is going on with my number?
Thank you

sigh, this is what I am afraid of. At least I got a second opinion from you guys. I'll just have to wait for the mod's confirmation tomorrow then. Selecting your post as answer. Thanks for the collective information =D

The port has definitely broke. Ports within the Telus family of carrier brands are almost instantaneous. It takes longer to reboot the phone. I am not sure why the moderators did not identify the stuck port right away.

Alright, so I got my neighbour to call both numbers and my phone rings when they called my PM number. When they called my Koodo number it said its no longer in service.
I received the message from the mod yesterday saying that the port is completed and another message today comfirming once more the port is completed.
I've let them know about the situation again and I guess at this point I have to wait for their response tomorrow. bummer

Is there someway to call your number (the Koodo port in) to ensure it’s getting to your PM SIM card? It sounds like self-serve isn’t updated to show your port in number, and this may just be cosmetic, and very well may resolve over night.

Admittedly I didn't have another number to call my old number but when I text my Koodo number, nothing happens. When I text my PM number the text comes through so I'd assume that the PM number is the one still active.
I've messaged the mod again explaning the entire situation. Hopefully it doesn't take them 24 hours to reply but this is starting to feel like a mistake porting to PM

What happens when you call your old Koodo number? Does it ring on your new PM SIM? Similarly, what happens when you call the number you were given by PM?
It sounds like your port went wrong and you need to contact the Moderators again. Reply to their original message and let them know what happened.
