I just texted YES to my old provider to transfer my number. How long does it take to receive a confirmation text that it has gone through. I've been waiting about 15 minutes now.

It normally takes about 90 minutes but your old SIM will continue to work while the porting is being processed. Once the old SIM stops working, power off your phone and swap the SIM card then power back on.

@jls1214 usually between 30 mins to 2 hours

Just put your PM sim card in a phone, reboot the phone ever 30 mins.  If your PM sim start receiving incoming calls, then the porting is completed

You'll probably also find that if you try to log into the old provider account,  it'll show closed or inactive. 

Then you can be sure.

@jls1214 you received confirmation text and replied YES so it should be good to go now , or you can wait till old sim no longer has services . That way you won’t miss any calls or messages … otherwise your good to go @jls1214 swap in new pm sim when your ready
