I have been trying for two days now to port my old number to Public Mobile and failing. Frustrated. Time-consuming. Can I chat or speak to a live agent?

Hello @Amani2020 ,
Give your Community a try, while you are waited for help from a PM Moderator.
What seems to be the problem with you porting over?
Here are some help articles, if interested to review:

The easiest way to port is to keep your current line active and visit an in-store location to have someone give you a SIM card and port your old number to PM.

If you’re having a problem with online activation give us some specifics so we can give some suggestions. PM doesn’t have any live agents, only mods.

PM does not have call centre. Support is provider by creating a support ticket and moderator will get back to you from couple hours to 2 days.
To port your number to PM, your old account must be active. Provide the following info when your create your support ticket.
- old account number
- name on your old account
- the number to be ported to PM
BTW, moderator response was within 1 hour when I created my ticket around noon. There were 8 moderators online round noon. But there are 4 moderators online ATM.

Hi @Amani2020 it can take up to 7 days if its a voip or landline and up to 3 hours to complete if from a cell provider. When porting you can make calls and send texts immediately. The last thing to complete is receive calls and texts. If it's been more than 3 hours and you ported from a cell provider. Then your port is probably stuck. You need to contact the moderators to fix it for you.
Two ways to contact the moderators:
It may take up to 48 hrs (hopefully less) to receive a reply from the moderators. Check the envelope icon on top right for a number to pop up. I hope this helps. Cheers!

With the exception of help for activation, there are no live agents. If you've already opened your Public Mobile account, please proceed to https://publicmobile.ca.ada/chat
and then type "port request".
