Would there be any minimum duration lock-in before porting out can be made for new connections?

@Rajeev76 there is no minimum duration, you should be able to port out at any time. Just make sure you keep your SIM card in that you are porting out from as you should be receiving a text message from the original carrier asking for confirmation. You will have 90 minutes to reply yes

Not really any minimal duration, as long as the port was been successfully completed.  Some people have ported in and out of Public mobile within the same day.  The potential issue is that since PM is prepaid, there are no refunds or pro-rated plans.  If you port out before your payment cycle, you will nor receive any refunds.
