Please Help me Understand the New Math of Rewards

Brolias
Great Neighbour / Super Voisin

Greetings,

Both my wife and I have the same $40 plan but I received an $8 credit and she didn't. We've both been PM members for several years and both have the auto top-up.

My May rewards seem to add up to $7 (not $8)... $2 ATU and $5 Tenure. She has nothing for the month of May.

Can anybody who understands what's going on shed some light on the situation?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks guys for the info and direction. I was able to switch both of us to the same plan but at $34 / month now. Than't something anyway.

The Rewards program has been changed to a Points program with no automatic $ discounts. The announcement was made in March. Here is the link to it:

(On another note, have you checked Public Mobile’s plan offerings lately? You might find a plan that is more economical than your current $40 plans. It’s a good idea to check PM’s offerings at least once a week.)

Starting in May, Public mobile is transition all legacy rewards customers over to the new points system. Looks like that your wife's account has been switched to the points system, while you are still on the legacy rewards, but will be switched soon.

With the transition, you lost your $2/month autopay and up to $5/month loyalty rewards unfortunately.

Here is the announcement:

It is a mandatory switch, so the migration can not be stopped or reversed.

If you login into your self service account and your rewards section, you should see you referral points and a welcome 5 points.  Once you get 15 points, you can redeem for $15 credit.  Unfortunately, you will be charged plan amounts without the monthly discounts going forward.
