Plan change to 30 or 90 days

I'm considering a plan change from the $19/1GB plan to the $20/3GB plan, but it gives me the choice of 30 or 90 days and I can't decide which one to go with.  If I choose the 90-day option will I have the chance to change back to 30 days if I decide I want to later?

@Alicat27  a few things to note when changing plans is that once you change, more likely than not, you won't be able to change back to the original.

1. That plan may no longer be offered

2. It may be offered but not for you anymore

3. Changing to a plan that's 90 days is like a locked in mini contract.

Also, since all data is given upfront, should you use it all before the 90 days are up, you will be without data until then and forced to purchase more.  With 30, you have less time to wait if you run out early.

Hello @Alicat27

No, once you pick the 90 day, you can not go back to the 30 day. Are there any benefits of choosing the 90 day? Also, don't forget to have it change on renewal, not right away as you'll lose what you paid for.

WHY NOT?

He can schedule plan change at around 85 day to 30 days plan.

Unless OP is dedicated and extremely loyal to PM I would suggest 30 day s plan as you never know when competition will offer way better plans.
90 days plan is worth considering if it offers significant saving and you do not have to worry autopay failures at every renewal date.

@Alicat27   It offered 90 days when you selected the plan?  Unless there's much of a saving I would go with 30 days because it's not a lot of data and you have a sooner option to change to something else, depending what's available at the time.  I say that having a 90 day plan myself, but it has a much bigger data bucket and I like to get it all up front to roll over for the 90 days as a contingency in case of loss of home internet (which happens during power failures).

@Alicat27

if/when you want to change plans, you can only have whichever plans are availabile at the time you make the change.  Lately, you can easily upgrade...but no so easy to downgrade.

added...read the plan detail closely as I don't see any 90 day options just now.
