Plan change from 15$ to 10$ monthly renewal

I have started with 10$ monthly renewal plan with new SIM. Now I am renewing with 15$ per month. How I can go back to 10$ per month plan?

@Shwetha  I doubt they will bring back $10.  $15 is really the cheapest on the market now.

It's all market related.  For example, Rogers used to have $100/year Pay as you go service, it was up to $120 at around 2016.  And it is now $180/year.  So, $15 is the start point across the market I guess

I also don't see the $10 plan ever coming back, but I'll say that if they ever do bring it back, I would expect new customers getting that plan to be eligible for rewards. As it is now, most $10 plan customers will have the plan priced at $3 or lower per 30 days after about 5 years.

While the $10 plan makes sense for some, it doesn't for others, including Public Mobile.  They obviously made a business decision of some sort to remove it from the market, and unless they determine it being a good business decision to bring it back, it won't be offered again.

The only thing they've allowed, is for people to "grandfather" the plan... in other words, those who were active on the plan had the option to stay and keep that plan.  For others who are new and/or changed away from that plan, it isn't available any more.

Thanks! Don’t you think we have to get that 10$ plan back as we are not using much of our calls. More over there is along list of add ons to consume.

I do most things by memory....use it or lose it! Of course 30 years of sefving gives you a good memory! I may not remember a customers name but I will remember their lunch order for decades!😃

Good to know, @darlicious, and noticed you really have a good memory with dates!  That Province-Wide Minutes reversal was a nice move (although too bad it had to happen in the first place).  I always like trying things anyway depending on the situation.

@BlueB

Once changed there is no getting a grandfathered plan back they are removed from access even by the moderators. I had two referrals whose accounts I help manage and despite going to the community manager there was no getting the canada wide $15 plan back despite the system cancelling their scheduled plan changes.

Until of course they brought that plan back 7 weeks later then they both scheduled a plan change back to it.

Like everyone has said, you can't access a discontinued plan if you've abandoned it.  If you recently changed to the $15 plan, you can try contacting the Moderators via the SIMon chatbot, but in general, there's no turning back.  😞

The only real way of getting back on the $10 plan is if Public Mobile re-introduces it again for everyone.

 @darlicious : It's getting more and more obvious that the traffic has slowed way down. Either there are way fewer customers or they're going straight to the mods and not bothering with here or the constant problems are really getting fixed.

Nice possible idea on the possible scheduled plan change not completed yet.

They just need to ease up on the payment card restrictions and make the entry of them more tolerant.

I remember a couple years ago where I called the card company and they said nope everything looks fine from our end...wait...they found an extra space somewhere in the name. Like the front of the card showed first initial last. Seems there was an extra unwanted space in there. Like first  initial last. Or something. They removed it.

Wow...3 replies in under a minute and another hot on their tails! There's a lot of thumb twiddling around here. Any wonder why I grabbed a café au lait and took a stroll on the french side of town?

You cannot go back to the $10; it's been discontinued.
PM's policy allows retention of a current plan, but once changed you must select from current offers.

$10 is old - grandfathered plan not available anymore

Did you actually accidentally change plan from $10 to $15?

 @Shwetha : If you're a new customer then how did you get a $10 plan? If you've been here a couple years then if you changed to the $15 plan then there's no going back as the $10 plan is no longer available.

Edit: speedy up there

@Shwetha

The $10 plan was retired in October 2019. It was grandfathered but if you changed your plan to the $15 you can no longer go back to the $10 plan.

Edit:

If you have only scheduled it to change on your next renewal you can cancel the change anytime before your renewal date and contjnue to keep the grandfathered plan.
