@gblackma interesting, I must have missed that thread. Do you have a link handy? Curious what the resolution was.

@gblackma what makes you ask these two follow-up questions?

There are some news reports of outages in some areas.
Or if you're on the $10 or $15 plans maybe you're out of minutes.
Or is your account still active?
Or even maybe you need to add 1 in front of your dialing.
@mgoodkey if the service outage and the items @Anonymous listed above don't explain your issue, try powering your device off and back on again. Rebooting can resolve a number of "spontaneous" issues like this. It's not a silver bullet, but it's quick and easy to try.
@gblackma wrote:@mgoodkey did you port your number? It sounds like the last step in the process. Or your port could be stuck Or your sim may not be set up properly .
@gblackma the SIM could be not set up correctly, assuming @mgoodkey is a new customer and calling has yet to work. They didn't mention either way so it's a possibility, but generally very rare these days. However, about porting: porting only affects incoming calling (and texts), but never outgoing calling (or texts). A porting issue cannot explain the reported symptom.

I'm in the Cariboo region. My connection has had some difficulties for 2 days due to phone service outage across BC.

Are you a new customer? Has it been working fine until recently? Maybe there is a problem with the number you are trying to call?

Are you calling a number in BC ? As suggested by @Anonymous , there's reports of a rock slide on a highway in BC that's affected phone / internet service to some customers in BC. No update on repair times yet.

@mgoodkey did you port your number? It sounds like the last step in the process. Or your port could be stuck Or your sim may not be set up properly .
If it remains the same, contact a moderator and explain your situation . Click on the green questionmark in the white circle at the bottom right of your screen. This connects to the autobot Simon . Type moderator and follow the prompts to get to one (CLICK on account specific question and human and submit a ticket) welcome to PM .
