Phone not working

I activated my sim today and paid for the plan on line, however it's not working. No reception, no connection. Does anyone know what the issue is?

Seems like we might be having the same issue. Out of curiosity, how long did it take for your phone to kick in?

Everything worked!! I think I just needed to wait for a bit until the activation kicked in. I also changed my number to my old number in like a minute!! Thank you public mobile!! Let's just hope everything will run smoothly after this!!

Well this is the funny thing. My phone is from Rogers so I went to a store to unlock it...but the guy tried to unlock it and he said the phone doest work with the pm sim card and it doesn't prompt for a pin..so that's why he said maybe something wrong with the sim card.

Is your phone unlocked or a telus/Koodo phone? Can you try your sim in somebody else's phone? Just a few things I can think of. I'm sure the experts will chime in soon enough

I tried rebooting, didn't work. And I didn't not port my old number yet.

Try rebooting your phone if you haven't already. Did you request a phone number port during activation?
