Phone goes straight to voicemail on incoming calls

Do not disturb is not on.  I have taken my sim card out and reinserted it.  I have suspended my account and started it again.  I bought this phone from Public Mobile in March.

I turned my cell off, removed the sims card, powered back on.  I turned off my bell wifi, made sure the network was public mobile.  I’m sure I did all that before, but it finally worked.  Both my grandsons have the same problem.

can you confirm your situation?  Incoming calls goes to voicemail?

How about outgoing calls?

is Mobile data working?

Text? incoming and outgoing?

Couple thing to test

1. reboot your phone

2 Reseat your sim card (power off, then take sim card out for a minute before putting it back and power up the phone)

3. Change the Preferred network type to 3G Only  (or WCDMA Only or HSPA Only)

4. Try your PM sim card on another phone if you have one around

Hi. I'm having the same issue. How did you resolve it?

It finally works.  Thanks.

@Momstjean   can you make outgoing calls?

do you see the phone showing it is connected to the network? Any status bar?

Do you have another phone to test the PM Sim card there?

Took it off airplane mode.  Still not working.

Should I have it on airplane mode?

@Momstjean No, airplane mode means no connection to anything.  Please disable airplane mode and you should see it connects to PM network again

Should I have it on airplane mode?

I have a very basic phone plan.  I have it on my bell wifi.  I’m pretty bad with this.  I’m 71 and only use my phone for emergencies.

It looks like my network is working.  Would I get texts if my network was low and would I be able to make outgoing calls?

Didn’t work.

Most likely signal is low or local outage let network think you are off line.

Don't do anything with account. As long as it says Active service is working. This has to do something with local network.

@Momstjean

Try rebooting your phone…power it off, reseat the SIM then power back on.

@Momstjean   could be a local network issue

You can make outgoing calls without problem?

On your phone, try to change your Preferred network type to 3G Only /WCDMA Only / HSPA Only.  It might work
