Phone compatibility

Hi does anyone use a Samsung 21+ with public moblie. Mine is unlocked but it doesn't seem to be compatible. Currently I have the sim in a Lg stylo 6 and the sim works fine.  I'm wanting to use my 21+ if possible.  Is public moblie compatible with only cheaper phones? 🤔 Do you recommend me going into a telus store and ask for help?

@jd444 so, it is not connected at all?  Try to factory reset with your PM sim card inside once

If still does not work, try to ask for a friend with Koodo sim or Telus sim to see if it works

If nothing works, time to check your Samsung warranty to see if you can send it in for repairs.  I kind of remember a similar case before and ended up Samsung cannot find the root cause and have to replace the phone

Add: you are certain that the PM sim card was ro on another phone?? just in case it is a faulty sim

HI @jd444   S21+ from Bell would definitely work on PM.  My friend had one from Bell and using it here too

what exactly not working? voice or data? or it does not connect to PM network?

Create a PM support ticket to ask CS Agent to send you a PM configure file.

Even if agent sends him 'config file' how is he suppose to apply it?

@jd444 if you have not done that yet, have the PM sim card inside perform a Factory Reset and then setup the phone after.  See if it works

Your Bell Samsung 21+ from Bell should work with PM.

Is it a new phone or a refurbished phone which was used on Bell network before?

If it is a refurbished phone, it is still configured for the Bell network.

Create a PM support ticket to ask CS Agent to send you a PM configure file.

BTW, did you restart your Bell phone after inserting your new PM SIM card?

If not, restart your phone now before creating a support ticket.  It is as simple as that you need to restart your phone to give your phone to configure it for PM service.

Good luck.

@jd444

Put your pm Sim card in your S21. Skip the set up and go straight to using the phone. You should see public mobile pop up on the top of the home page.

@jd444  If you purchased from bell I think it’s safe to say it’s compatible
