Online chat support for porting a number over to Public Mobile - security certificate failure

Bufflehead

I am trying port my old Speakout number over to Public Mobile and it is not yet working.  I received a text suggesting I contact a virtual assistant at:

publicmobile.ca.ada.support/chat (https:// in front, but this forum will not accept the full web address)

but this web address results in a security certificate failure.  Even if I tell my web browser to proceed anyway then I get another failure message from CloudFront - a 502 Error

Is there another way to get help with porting my number?

FWIW.  I am trying to port a Speakout number using the 'Transfer Phone Number' panel under the  'Profile' section of my Public Mobile account.  I gave my Speakout phone number as my Speakout account number, it did not ask me for my Speakout PIN.

Contacting a Customer Support Agent (Rodrigo in my case) did lead to resolving the problem of porting my Speakout number over to Public Mobile.

It took a few tries before it worked but in the end Rodrigo submitted my 4-digit PIN as an account number to Speakout and a few minutes later I received a text from them saying that porting had been initiated.

Despite what the Speakout CS rep initially told me, my  phone number alone is not an account number.  It seems bizarre but I suspect that the PIN is used to simply verify that the phone number being ported was being requested by me and not some random user.

Chalup Batman's chat link worked but the one using the 'Transfer Phone Number' panel under the 'Profile' section of my Public Mobile account did not.

@computergeek541  So they use the phone number instead?  (Or IMEI?)

IMEI is the only thing that should be used for ports from Speakout. PIN should be avoided.

edit:  adding that the phone number cannot be used as account number

@computergeek541  So they use the phone number instead?  (Or IMEI?)

Speakout doesn't have account numbers that can be used for number porting.

This is mistake in the text messages sent by Public Mobile to customers.  That website is no longer valid.  Also, using the phone number as the Speakout acount number will fail.  The IMEI needs to be used.
