How do I reactivate my old PM number? Everyone has me in contacts as this number and i chat text over wifi. But now i want to activate so i can actually make phone calls. My dad is helping me. Thanks.

How long was your number inactive (suspended)? If it is longer than 90+ day, your account is deleted, number lost and no way to get it back as it already might be assigned to somebody else.

You have 90 days without paid service to reactivate your Public Mobile account.

If your account has been deactivated and your phone number was originally from Telus, Koodo or Public Mobile then it will remain in the hold number pool for 90 days and an agent can likely retrieve it and assign it to a new account activated with a new Sim card/e-sim.

If it's past 180 days then the phone number is released into the available number pool. Try calling it to see if it's in service. If not then an agent may be able to retrieve it as above.

If the phone number came from any other provider you must contact them and likely activate with them to possibly retrieve your phone number as it was released back to them when your account was deactivated on day 90.

you were able to "chat" on wifi because of iMessage or RCS

how long you have that account suspended? 

Call 1-855-4PUBLIC and enter your phone number, what the recording says? If it can find your account, then just login My account (use email to receive 2FA code) and pay and resume service

if the system cannot find your account, then you have gone for over 90 days.  PM might be able to reassign you the number, but it is a a maybe.  So, check with them first, submit ticket.  Even you say yes, you will need to get a new sim card and activate a new account.

How long has it been since the number was in service @Elisa_DP ?

If over 90 days, it's pretty well impossible to return to that same number.

If less than 90 days, your account would still be available to resume services with payment of another cycle.
