Offer for new activations only

I noticed public mobile has a good offer for new activations only.  I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with getting one of these promotions on an account thats already opened (i activated just a few months ago), by messaging a customer service agent or anything? 

Or is the only way really to cancel the current activation and activate a whole new account to get the offer?

Happy to announce they successfully changed to the promo plan i requested. It took a bit of back and forth as they initially declined, but they ended up doing it and will retain me as a client. Happy customer here. Thanks for all the feedback and recommendations.

you cannot swap numbers between the accounts. 

But for the new activatons only plan , you can check your luck with PM agent.   please submit a ticket with CS Agent here:

Remember, that plan supposed to be for new activation, so agent has the right to decline your request, although some reported they got it.

@AK32  No you can’t transfer number from one PM account to the other . You would need to port  the number you want out to new provider to port it back in on newly created PM account . Or take a new number  .

is it possible to transfer/keep the same phone number? 

starting to think it would be easier to just shop around for a different carrier as many others have similar offers.

@AK32  I would avoid eSIM and bet physical sim it easier to switch devices and trouble shoot with physical sim . eSIM needs to be re purchased each time you change device or do factory reset on device . Amazon has had physical SIM card $4.99

Thank you. How would i go about getting a new SIM if im currently using an eSim? can i have 2 eSims simultaneously and then cancel the older one once the new account is set up?

@AK32  Some have also  reported having to try multiple times before being successful.

BUT... Be aware that plenty of others have been refused. Getting an upgrade to new activation plan as existing customer is a huge YMMV.

All the accounts I asked about, and was outright refused, were potential upgrades from $15 to $24. Since Public Mobile aren't interested in getting an ongoing $9 more per account from us, we'll continue to pay that amount to someone else for the supplementary data SIM...

NO, cannot be done.

You can always talk to agent and try persuade them to switch you to this plan. Other way of getting this plan is to get new SIM, open brand new account and stop paying existing charge. After 90+ days current account will be cancelled/deleted.

They declined, said only for new activations.  Upsetting that others confirmed getting the new activation only plans just by asking, but they wont for me.   I guess i should close my account and look elsewhere as it seems the better offers are given to non-members.
