I am trying to activate a new SIM card and transfer an existing phone number. The system asks for my address as on file with my existing provider. I can enter everything except my street name, which is numeric (eg 123 Street). The street name field will not accept numbers.

@HOW Yes, that is exactly what happen, it take 3 to as many as 5 business days for the porting to complete
I will send you a phone number to your Community inbox. You can call in 2 days and ask for porting status. And if Ooma has a support line, maybe you can call and give them your blessing about the porting verbally first

Porting from VOIP phone (Ooma). Number now active on PM for outgoing calls. Incoming calls still going to Ooma. I heard the porting process can take 2 or 3 days, so am waiting to see what happens. Thanks for your help.

thanks @cellphoneuser1 Let's hope it is not landline (OP didn't mentioned that). If it is landline, then definitely need PM Support to change the address manually
@HOW was it a porting from landline or mobile?

AFAIK, PM does not check your address for credit card approval, just the postal code. So, the street name is ok if you write the way I suggested
You can't do that because this is on the landline porting form. Unmatched address will cause port failure. CSA needs to be contacted to manually do a porting request.

This worked for me. Thank you hTideGnow!

@HOW , how about putting in a letter in front of the number so that you can type in the address and then delete the letter when finished typing the actual street name. Yahoo mail has this problem.

Tried to ignore it. Says it is required.

Are you sure that's a required field? If not then just ignore it.
