• I just switched over to Public but my phone still isn't hooked up. How long does it usually take?

Hi @Larry70,

Usually, it can take up tp 5 hours for the cellphone service to kick in if switching from a previous cellphone provider to Public Mobile. It can take up to 3 days when switching a Landline to Public Mobile. 

How long has it been in your case?

usually the phone would connect right a way and can make outbound calls.  Only inbound takes longer because have to wait for porting to be completed

Try reboot the phone once and Reset all networks.  If you still cannot even make calls and the sim not connected to PM network, then the setup was not done properly.  Ask support agent to check.  Please message them here

@Larry70usually just an hour or so. How long are you waiting? And are you transfering in an existing number? If so, hopefully you responded yes to the email text from your old provider within 90 minutes
