Hey I'm switching to Freedom. I got the text and replied "yes" but it's been 2 hours. How long until you release my number?

hi @xBlitzerx182

since you waited long enough, like 6 hours+, just submit a ticket and have CS agent to check

please submit a ticket with CS Agent here:

Restarted both phones, nothing...

hi @xBlitzerx182

you should get the text pretty quick, within 30 mins.

if not, reboot the phone again

Ok I called Freedom and fixed a few things, setup a PIN and also corrected my email which the guy at the store entered incorrectly.

He said he will try the port in again and I should get another text to confirm, haven't got anything yet.

That makes no sense @xBlitzerx182

If you replied YES within 90 minutes of the text being received, the port should certainly be completed by now.

I'd be going to Freedom to have them deal with this.

When a user moves mobile providers, it ALL on the new provider to draw the number from the prior provider - they do all the work.   The user's only responsibility is ensuring the prior account is active and replying to the port authorization text appropriately.

Insist Freedom does their part here.

@xBlitzerx182

did you call Freedom? ask them to check the status.  If they have not see a reply from PM yes, as them to re-initiate the process (so you will get another text from PM)

I replied Yes at 3:07pm today but still has not completed.

Your port is probably complete by now? So this is just as another data point... Four of my referrals made the move to Freedom last week (if only PM would have allowed them to switch to that $24/GB 4G plan... After a week they are very happy with Freedom, and I don't see them coming back to PM any time soon.).

They stopped in at TMS between 3pm and 6pm. For all of them the port completed about an hour after the port request / "yes" to the text from PM. They got a text and an e-mail from Freedom once the port was complete. The PM SIM and account access just stopped working at pretty much the same time.

That's true @xBlitzerx182

You will no longer be able to not only use your PM SIM card for any calling/texting services, but you'll also be unable to log into your self-serve account with PM once the port has fully completed.

Hope to eventually see you back!!!

I have my Freedom SIM in the new phone but has a new number, the Public SIM is still in the old phone.
He said eventually the old phone should lose service and the new phone will get my number.

@xBlitzerx182

usually within 30 mins to 4 hours

Put your Freedom sim card in, reboot the phone once or twice and check if you can receive incoming calls on the Freedom sim card

if any issue, please contact Freedom helpdesk to confirm the porting status
