HI @germanyf
this is an old thread from 2020.
the new porting help page is this one
https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/bc/get-help/articles/transfer-your-number
May I know what problem you are facing now? you requested porting ? you can make outbound calls but not able to receive inbound calls?
or calls work perfectly both way and just sms not working?

You will need to keep your Fido account open during the porting process.
Here is more info about porting.

When porting, use your Fido account number if possible, but leave both Fido account PIN, and IMEI blank. Filling those in 2 fields in will not help and could cause complications.

Keep your Fido account active so you keep your number.
Get a Public Mobile sim card and activate it.
Pick a temporary number.
Login to self-serve click on change number then select 'transfer a wireless or wireline from another provider".
Type in your Fido number and fill in the required account details and it should take a few hours to be done.
If however something goes wrong and certain features such as calling and receiving calls doesn't work then the port is stuck and you would need to contact Public Mobile with a support ticket.
