Do I need to create a new account along with another SIM to change the phone number? Can I change the number on my existing account/SIM?  I have the phone and a physical SIM.

No. No new account is needed to change phone number. Opening a new account would cost more because you would buy a new sim card and be paying for 2 plans.

Sorry again. I would like to change the number on my plan. There will be no other number being transferred. I assume I will need to create a whole new account and remove my existing account.

so you don't want your current number and no need a new number? you can login My Account, Profile page and click the pencil besides the phone number and it will give you the screen to choose a new number

If you want to change your phone number on an existing account, log in and go here....

If you have a number elsewhere you want to port over, you can do that here....

Hi sorry.. more info I missed for the question. I am currently a Public Mobile subscriber. I would like a new phone number on my existing plan and current SIM. Thanks

if you are ready to give up your current number, yes, you can request porting in the number to your current account

Just login My Account or App, go to Profile page or Account page on app and click Transfer phone number

as usual, make sure the old phone number is still active with another carrier and that carrier will send a text and request your approval within 90 minutes
