Not registered on network

My husband activated the SIM card and set up an account for me with Public Mobile and when I log into the account, the account status is active. However, when I try to make calls out, I get a message saying, " not registered on network". He then took my SIM card and inserted into his phone and he got the same message. He also activated a SIM card with Public Mobile for himself and it worked instantly. Is it possible the SIM card is defected? If so, how do I go about getting a new one?

The sim card itself being defective is very unlikely, ahthough not impossible.

I'm assuming that your husbands put his Public Mobikle sim card in that same phone, but it's just yours that isn't working in that phone?

I would say that more likely that the sim card hasn't been properly provisioned with service.  The scenario presented earlier with the wrong sim card number being activated is possible.  However, the most likely thing would be that the the activation system didn't assign service properly to that sim card for whatever reason.

Before contacting the mods, I would try going into your self-serve account, report your phone as lost/stolen, and then resume your service by telling the system that you found your phone.

@Kklai  Try using an eraser to clean the SIM card's contacts and see if you are able to connect to the network.

Did you try his working SIM in your phone?

@KklaiCan you go online into My account and see if the last 4 digits of your SIM card matches the one that is physically in your phone?
