I have an iPhone.. I am currently out of data.. when I leave wifi I don’t receive messages until back on wifi.. my messages also don’t send.
I have cellular data turned on.

Yes cellular data is on and iphone sms and mms is turned on as well.
HI @Crapshoot did you turn on send as Text on your iPhone?
and make sure you are not sending MMS. You can send MMS, but you need to turn on mobile data
I turned off iMessage but by doing so I am now not RECEIVING messages?
I am still looking for solutions
Thanks.. I thought it would automatically convert to a text when I wasn’t on wifi?

@Crapshoot as mentioned by @Handy1 ...imessage needs data. Texting does not.
@Crapshoot Turn iMessage off and send text sms instead
