I recently got a new public mobile SIM card and brand new phone number.
it’s been about a month since activation and I realized I am not getting text messages from some of my friends.
I am a tech savvy person. I turned on/off the phone, on/off airplane mode, system settings messages, on/off mms, on/off iMessage. I even tried putting my SIM card from iPhone to android phone. STILL only getting text message from half of my friends.
What is going on?

Following. Trying to solve a similar situation with my mom's phone but she's been with PM for a couple years. SMS from only certain contacts are received, not even from PM. Outgoing SMS are working fine.

During porting over to PM, did you reply to the text with YES from your old carrier confirming you are porting over to PM?
I am sure that Send as SMS is enable since you are get text from some of your friends.

If you've done that and it's still not working, on the bottom right of your screen, there's an orange bubble with a chatbot. Put your request in there for assistance.
