No service even though I’m in a Telus service area

I installed the Sim card and the website says it’s activated. I hit transfer number. I got a message from Kudo indicating it had been transferred, but when I try to use the phone, it says the line is not in service

Thanks. I tried that.  Public ended up resolving the issue.

Try to reboot your phone if not done already.  Maybe network reset of phone (this will erase any saved Wifi passwords).
