@Jencho sorry you are having troubles. I know ports from landlines and voip providers can take a week or so. from most cellular providers it should be pretty quick.
Have the mods explained why it is takings long? can't you use your orriginal sim until the port comletes? PM is really good about adusting the start date for porting issues.

The only issue with porting a number is usually user error
There are no network outages at the moment
@stonechucker I have a strong suspicion the changes were made due to travellers paying less than what Telus wanted. Visit Canada for a week, get a free SIM card (now $10) & activate a 10 day plan (now 30 day min)

I thought it'd be a hassle porting my phone number from virgin mobile. Surprisingly, it took 30 minutes at most... Surprised to hear people having porting issues... 😕

@Jencho, what carrier did you attempt a port from? I have ported more than a dozen accounts to this service for myself and friends and not once did a port fail. Perhaps you can explain in greater detail your porting woes, the community may be able to share their experiences and provide useful information.

Yes, the porting can be an issue. It's too bad that they took away the old 10-day plans, they were great for trying out the system.
But hey, it's prepaid... no shock charges!!
