Purchased the 15$ data/text/voice and can't get data to work at all in oahu. I only wanted this for a few days to get uber/lift and maps. Seems like I wasted the 15$. I am registered on t-mobile lte and can text. That is it. I have a samsung s20 that is Vo LTE compatible... but not listed on public mobile... what gives? Is it because 3g has gone the way of the dodo??

@pkarza you can also check eSim Airalo. Their cheapest US plan is 1GB for $4.50 for 7 days

There still are some intrepid testers like @dust2dust in this thread before VoLTE was rolled out....
And further testing after the VoLTE roll out in another thread that @dust2dust posted in but I can't remember which one?

We might both be right or both be wrong, for different reasons. To be honest, I only really paid attention to discussions about US Roaming add-ons when certain problems seemed to be consistently complained about or when (on a few occasions) I was actually interested in buying a US Roaming add-on in the near future.
I have the suspicion that the actual details might have varied across different areas and different times. Since the US Roaming arrangements are not really provided by Public Mobile, they're dictated or negotiated by US-based carriers (and/or by Telus).
But, as I said above, I might be mistaken. My advice on this issue might be irrelevant, obsolete, or even completely wrong.
[Edit: There is an easy way to test all these details. But I doubt many customers are willing to buy/waste multiple US Roaming add-ons just to learn some answers. The next best thing we can do is rely on what other customers have reported. And, of course, information provided by Public Mobile - which, sadly, tends to not be very comprehensive or reassuring.]

No you don't quite have it right. Generally* you cannot repurchase the same US Roaming add on for 24 hours after it expires unless you contact customer support to add it for you. You can purchase any other US Roaming add on at any time.
The only other issue with the old 10 day Roaming add ons was the glitch with having 2 add ons with a talk feature causing calls to drop. I'm not sure if that has been fixed but it's less likely to occur since talk is only available in the 2 Roaming add on bundles vs a stand alone add on.
*I say generally but it appears some customers have managed to purchase 2 at the same time?

I could be mistaken since the new 15-day US Roaming add-ons are not the old 10-day US Roaming add-ons, details beyond the price and duration may have been changed or work differently.
But you used to only be able to activate one (10-day) US Roaming add-on at any time. It would deactivate once the full (10-day) period was over but you couldn't deactivate it manually. And while it remained active, you couldn't activate another.
If the new (15-day) US Roaming add-ons work the same way then there's nothing the OP can do until the currently active add-on expires. Voice and Text cannot (normally) be used for app-based Uber/Lift, but they can be used to call a normal taxi.

You can purchase the $10/250mb US Roaming add on or if you happen to be on the points program (Don't switch!!) you can redeem 5pts for the add on. Or the $15/500mb or $20/1gb add ons.

You need to purchase the $30 US Roaming Add-on to have data, talk and text then change the cellular network to T-Mobile.
There is T-Mobile coverage in Oahu.
Unfortunately you purchased the wrong US Roaming for just talk and text.
Here is some experience in different parts of Hawaii from another member:

If your phone is actually enabled for volte then talk should be good. If not then you might need to manually switch down to 2G for talk if the phone doesn't want to switch down automatically. Text works on 2G as well. As above for data.
