Hello, I’m new to public mobile and ported over my number from Sasktel prepaid. However after a week has passed I am still unable to receive phone calls or texts but data seems to work fine and I can make phone calls as well.

Try resetting your phone, sometimes that's the issue.

Making calls just means you get assigned temporary number when you signed up with PM.
Ask people what number they see when yo call them...
Did you follow porting instructions to the letter: both accounts have to be active, keep old SIM in your phone, initiate transfer, reply Yes within 90 minutes after receiving authorization request.

Did you respond to your old carrier's confirmation port text? Usually, your old carrier will text you a port request text. You need to respond yes to the port request.
Looks like that your port is stuck. Your Sasktel prepaid SIM card still should be working. I will private message you the Telus porting team phone number. This team can resend the port request. Keep your old carrier SIM card in the phone to respond to port text.
