Hello,
I am looking at taking out a Canada/US plan with Public Mobile. First of all, are all phone calls and text messages in the US and Canada unlimited in your plans? In reading the conditions, it said that only calls made from Canada are unlimited? What are the contract terms......monthly, annually? Will these rates change after you sign up for a mobile plan?

you need to provide both the phone number and account number for the port

Ok, that’s sounds good. I am assuming that you need to provide your cell phone number so they know which number is porting out. Can I not do this on their website?

she won't lose her account. Only one line will be ported, and with the old provider, since it still have another active service, they won't close that account.
No worries, many gone through similar situation

thank you. If my wife stays with our current provider will she lose her account when I activate my PM? I believe we are on the same account. Also, you say to do this on the app instead of their website?

HI @Mookie1
if you are porting in, make sure you keep your current plan provider's account active.
Use PM app to subscribe, and enter the port in information (give account number or your current carrier). Your current current will send you a text and you need to reply Yes within 90 mins. Then it takes another hour or tow and your current provider service will stop working, that means porting is done and the account will also be closed.

don automatically, no need to tell your current plan provider

Do you need to notify your current plan provider or is this done automatically by PM?

@El_Gato wrote:First of all you won’t be sorry if you port to PM . It’s all there—Read the terms and conditions . The good thing is that if you find that the plan you selected is not suitable you have the option by easy to use self help to switch to any other plan made available to you.
HI @Mookie1
add to what @El_Gato said, reading Terms and Conditions is important , but not every term is for your plan. You have to match up the number or * to find the terms that actually meant for your plan

HI @Mookie1
you use the plan in US like you are in Canada. So, you can make unlimited calls and texts in US as well

@Mookie1 All CAN/US plans have roaming built into them and are unlimited calling and texting between both countries , true snow bird plan and with the texting part of things it’s international text . pM is pre paid you can only use the services you already paid for so you never get a surprise bill

@Mookie1 Unlimited calls and text messages to or from Canada and the USA are included. Contract is 30 day period. You keep it and the same price for as long as you like.

all phone calls and texts are unlimitted in the US and Canada
the page of terms is confusing, it is terms for all different plans, so, not every line is for the Canada US plan
