Hey My husband switched just last month

we are out of country but I want to take advantage of the special ending January 6 - two questions

1.  When you sign up and get an eSIM do you take out your old SIM card from the other provider?  Also I understand I get a temporary number but would I put in the SIM card they mail to me when I am home in 6 weeks? Then can I port my old number over?

2.  Can the account be under my Husbands account?

thanks

Thank you so just to be clear I could activate and then pause until we are home to use the physical card but would still get the plan they are offering till January 6 which is 35.00 for 50g for Canada us and Mexico?

Yes, you can activate a new plan, pay for the first month and order a physical SIM card at the same time.  Once you return home and receive the SIM card, you can finish off the activation.  Your payment cycle will not start until you activate your physical SIM card.  I am not certain how long you can "wait" until you can finish off the activation of the physical SIM card.

Each PM phone number needs its own separate account and separate email address.  Your account can't be under your husband.

hi @SBU if you are planning to activate with a physical sim from PM, you can just download the PM app, create an account and a activate.  The activation steps will go as far as the payment step.  After payment, the activation will pause as they will ship the sim card and you just need to complete the activation after you receive the sim card. There is no time limit to complete that, so you can wait till you are back in Canada 6 weeks later

but you also mentioned you want eSIM. If you are in US or Mexico, you can activate a working eSIM if you subscribe to a Canada US Mexico plan, but if you are not in US or Mexico, easier to activate a physical sim
