I recently became a public mobile Customer, when i activated my account with public mobile I was not able to transfer my number over so I chose the option of taking a new number. Now that I am on the public mobile network, who or how will my old cell phone carrier be notified to cancel my service with them? Thank you for any help.

@Todd7 If old carrier is still active you can still port it over from your account profile page
Notice “transfer number “ below first ref circle in sheen shot tap
Change # on profile tabs
It leaving old provider sim in the phone to reply YES to the confirmation text to port to PM , if you don’t want to transfer number call old provider and cancel the service

yes, you can still port over your phone number here. Login to the app or My Account and start the Transfer phone number process from the Account page on the app or Profile page on My Account

as long as your old carrier account still active, you can port here
just go to My Account, Profile page and click Transfer phone number and follow the steps. Remember you need your old sim card in a phone for them to send you a text and you need to reply Yes within 90 mins
