Hi,
Following up on the subject. I'm currently out of Canada (India). I have been doing seamless topups for more than a year via my old account which also had my card saved. Fortunately or unfortunately I never enabled auto-payments. So I received this pleasant surprise today (Eversafe). I've been reading the forum since morning and created this new account (not smooth either).
So, how do I recharge my phone. I intend to return back later this year or next. The thing is I absolutely don't want to lose my phone number!! All my gov services, bank account etc are linked with this. Yes, I didn't know that PM won't work outside of Canada (except USA). I mistook those international roaming stuff for outside of Canada coverage as well. Silly me.
Note: I have tried entering incorrect otp four times. I don't want to try "forgot password" with my old account.
1. Can I use some 3rd party recharge services from India? I tried Xoom but it ain't available in India. Paypal works though.
2. How can I access my old account which has my card saved. I just need to click a button there. Man it used to be so smooth.
3. If not, can I ask someone in Canada to recharge it for me? If yes, how to go about it?
Any suggestions would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Account pin for PM account? I could ask an acquaintance to call the NA toll free number. I'll buy the voucher from recharge or musk bird and pass it on.
I'll take a look at TextNow again. Unfortunately, some folks here misuse it (mainly the free accounts) and as a result everybody else has to suffer.

@unprompted__ , what I am saying is that you or someone on your behalf that you trust can call that number if you know your 4 digit pin # (that you created when setting up your account) & make the payment using the card that is already on your account by calling that number I gave you!
Edit: You will not know if you can successfully call that number from where you are unless you try it. If you are unable to get the call to go through when you try calling that number & you have someone you trust in Canada to do it for you go that route!

Do you know your 4 digit account pin? If not then the credit card idea won't work. Using a voucher doesn't need the account pin. But then you still need to be able to call a NA toll free number. Have a look at TextNow that can also do calling.
The real time payments method is actually pretty slick. You (someone) go in to a participating store and ask for it. You might need to explain that it's the system where you give the phone number. They could also sell a voucher but then they need to call the toll free number then anyway.
Adding - a gas station like Mobil offers this. You give them the phone number pay your money and it just goes in. No voucher, no toll free call.
Recharge etc sell vouchers.
As for TextNow, you could just download it again and get a number and use the free version and suffer some ads. It disconnected you due to non-use. You have to use it occasionally to keep it alive.

I do have that set up. But I'm unable to login to that account. Hence I made this account to access the community. Further, this account won't let me login to the payment page setup. Also, even if I log in, I'll have to add that credit card again which won't work since my phone number has no coverage here (India).
Oh gosh. I should've bought a billable account when I was coming back. Didn't look at the international roaming stuff carefully enough. I've been unable to use my canadian bank account bcz of the coverage issue.

hmm. That TextNow app stopped working in India ig. I bought their premium number last year to use for banking stuff but they logged me out later. Thankfully, app store refunded my money.
Now, what's this "real time payment option"? Is Recharge.com reliable?

@unprompted__ , I use Musk Bird online to purchase vouchers but you shouldn’t need to due to you already have a payment card on your account!

Well, I can ask a friend in Canada to call. But incase that fails, can I topup my PM number online internationally?

Can the topups be bought online or only in-store?

Will the 'forgot password' work for sure? I have my credit card already setup in the account. That's how I have been making payments.

To make payment: Dial 1 (855) 478-2542 (1 855 4PUBLIC) from another phone.
I've never tried this but I believe that it's unlikely to work. Toll free phone numbers often only accept calls from specific locations. Some of the largest Canadian companies list a regular number on their websites in cases customers need to call from outside of Canada and the US. If taking a look at the back of a bank card or a credit card, there's almsot certainly a non-toll free number printed on it.

That should work fine @LitlLdy . The question is whether they can call a NA toll free number from there. They could probably use TextNow though. I know I could when I was out of the country recently.
Another option is indeed to have someone in Canada call the number.
Vouchers can be bought online from other vendors. Xoom actually doesn't sell Public vouchers. They might think and say they do but they don't. Recharge.com or ding.com or muskbird.com even crypto.com sell them.
Another option is to have someone in Canada use the real time payment option in a few stores.

@unprompted__ , It has been said that forgot password option can work and allow you to get 2FA code via email. Otherwise, if you cannot get into the account while out of the country, it is pretty tough to do a top up. Calling 611 is obviously not an option.

@unprompted__ , if you have a way to call a Canadian phone number & know your 4 digit pin # try paying for your service that way for now so you do not lose your number. You already have your payment card on your account. Let me know of that works.
