you are correct, it was transferred from magick jack number -------all is good now

less than 7 days, i tried the airplane mode off and text works, 7 days was my words to be patient

the solution seemed to be resolved the number was portied few days ago, i did try the airplane mode off now it works the text and data

Where did the "7 day wait period" information come from?

 

Unless you're porting a landline, I cannot imagine any port taking that long.   @Anonymous , do you know of any other ?

What provider have you ported from?

ported number works fine, only text data maybe need 7 day wait period

of course i removed sim often, now i tried air plane mode but havent messed with anything else. maybe the 7 day porting period needs to pass

Did you call the porting number in initial reply?

 

Did you try the other suggestions (reboot, remove/replace SIM, reset network connections)?

 

Can you advise of the steps you undertook since initial inquiry to resolve issues?

🤔yes i ported so it may trake 7 days, i still cannot send text

@dboxtvinfo715 Did you port over your old phone number or got a new number?

 

If you are porting over from another carrier, you are to keep your old SIM in the phone and wait for a text from the carrier to confirm you are porting over. Then power off your phone and remove the old SIM and put in the PM SIM and reboot your phone.

 

If you are porting over from Telus or Koodo,

there is a different steps during activating your account. You will need to contact the mediator and wait for a message in your inbox on your account to complete the porting.

@dboxtvinfo715  try going into airplane mode for a few minutes, then going back to regular mode.
