Now that my son is 19 years old he can get his own phone contract with Public Mobile. Can he keep the same number? I assume he signs up for a new account and requests the number from mine?

Date of birth is required when activating a new account, but the information is not verified in any way, nor does it matter what you enter as that date.

@fred22 Please elaborate how your son's phone is set up..
If he already has a PM phone, follow the suggestions from other response.
if he does not have a phone with PM, then he can port it over and set up under his email and payment for Pay as you go, etc.
If you want him to pay for his own phone, I think he needs to set up with his own email and payment info so that he can manage his own plan.
Hope this helps! Happy Monday😁

Couldn't @fred22 log into his account and change profile information to his son's name?

@fred22 Does the number your son has is it currently with PM? If no they he can port his number over to PM. He can have his own account separate from yours. This can be manged from the selfserve -link below
He would need a PM sim card. This can be ordered online or from a PM outlet. Once you recieve the sim card goto the self serve and create an account for him and follow the process to activate the sim card.

@fred22 , the only way that that's possible is to give your account over to him. PM does not allow porting between accounts. He can then contact the moderators to change the email address and 4 digit pin over to one of his own. Add his own credit card information, adress etc, . This way, he also keeps whatever rewards associated with the established account.
