New Phone Number Already Taken?

I just signed up to Public Mobile. I tried to Transfer my number but It didn't work. So Public Mobile gave me a New number. I can call out with this number fine. But when I tried to call this number with my home phone I don't get any calls. It seems to be calling someone elses phone. I think the wrong number was ported to my phone.  @Moderator_Team

It didn't ask me to wait... I was sent to a page with my billing information. The number on the bill wasn't mine. But it looked close enough. I mean it had my area code and first 3 digits. Then the rest was the alternative number. Maybe someone doing the transfer typed in the wrong number?

@Ivan_, when you say you tried to transfer your number but it did not work, did you give it some time to complete?
